Catianne

Born in Germany and raised in Belgium, Catianne is an American whose documentary and world event photography includes covering conflict areas, disaster reliefs, and gender equality issues for leading interna­tional organizations.

Her work includes documenting refugees of South Sudan for UNHCR, covering human trafficking for the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, and being the Official Photographer at the launch of the United Nations’ Peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic.

In April 2015, Catianne was a guest speaker at the UN high level event honoring the launch of the ‘More than Mines’ campaign at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City where her photos documenting the conflict in the Central African Republic were featured for six weeks in the General Assembly Hall. The exhibit later toured UN offices in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
 

Catianne’s work is featured in leading international media including the Washington Post, USA Today, The Guardian, BBC, RFI, Le Monde, and El Pais.
